Picky eater tips

SLOW TO START? try this.

01 Scent is everything

Gently warm fresh food (never hot). Add a splash of warm water or bone broth — this releases aromas that make food more appealing.

02 Move first, eat second

A short walk or play session can stimulate appetite. Light activity increases hunger, especially helpful for anxious or high-energy dogs.

03 Warm it up

Let the food sit at room temperature for a few minutes or slightly warm it. This can enhance the aroma and make it more appealing.

04 Add a topper

Try mixing in a little low-sodium broth or a small amount of something your dog already loves to encourage interest.

05 Keep mealtimes consistent

Offer food at regular times and avoid leaving it out too long — this helps build appetite and routine.

06 Give it time

It can take a few days for dogs to adjust to new textures and flavors, especially with fresh food.

FAQ

QUESTIONS, answered.

Why does the transition take 10 days?

Your dog's gut adjusts gradually to a new protein source. A 10-day blend keeps stools steady and reduces the chance of GI upset.

What if my dog won't touch it on Day 1?

Try the picky-eater tips above — warming the food, mixing with broth, or pairing with a short walk before mealtime usually does it.

How do I know I'm feeding the right amount?

Use the calculator above for a quick estimate. Once you're logged in, the hero panel shows the exact daily portion based on your dog's profile and current recipe.

Can I switch recipes?

Yes — log into your Member Portal to change recipes for any future delivery. We'll handle the next cycle automatically.

Where do I store the food?

Keep packs frozen until 24 hours before serving, then thaw in the fridge. Once thawed, use within 7 days.
